M is for Monceau

As I mentioned in my post about meeting the lovely Ruth from Rue en Rose, I realized I needed to spend more time exploring my surroundings rather than growing complacent in the places I always went. What better time than spring in Paris to grab your camera and get out to explore the city?

This artist was simply begging to have his photo taken
Meghan, one of my friends and biggest helps with figuring out the au pairing thing (because she did it here the year after she graduated from UNC too) is spending two months in Paris with Haven in Paris, the luxury apartment rental company she works for. She doesn’t work on Mondays, so it’s the perfect time for us to hang out and explore the city. Even better, her apartment is only a 15 minute walk from mine!

We spent last Monday evening in the nearby beautiful Parc Monceau, a stunning oasis in my own 17th arrondissement which for some reason I had never previously visited. Unintentionally, we ended up there during the golden hour before sunset, yielding some incredible shots. Isn’t this gorgeous?
