-Wonderful service and hospitality. Our room was always impeccably clean and the staff never showed any sign of being irritated when I was always the last one to order breakfast right before the kitchen closed. All the service of a luxury hotel while floating on the river!

- Great itineraries. This trip took us to Lyon, Vienne, Tournon-sur-Rhône, Viviers, Arles, & Avignon - all some of the most beautiful places this region has to offer. And this is just one of their many France itineraries!

- Organized excursions to places like wineries and truffle farms, but also the freedom to do what you like if you’d rather set your own schedule

While this would be a great trip with a parent, don’t discount cruises with friends as well, if you want to make the most out of a week-long vacation without having to perfect your own itinerary or worry about where to eat. Just board and enjoy!

Purple heaven in the Garden of Eden 💜
Yes, that’s really what this place is called! The inner garden at the Grande Mosquée de Paris is actually called the Jardin d’Eden, and when the wisteria is blooming in the spring, it’s easy to see why. My only regret: it was too early to pop over to their tea room/restaurant for a Moroccan-style mint tea and a few pastries!

Finding exactly what I didn’t know I needed with @exploremira ✨

Even when I was in Thailand, I was saying to my travel buddy how much I wanted to go back to Italy this spring. So when @bisousmorgan messaged me to say she was going on a group trip to Tuscany with @ktgiblin and @exploremira, I thought, why not?

I’d never done a group trip before, and as someone who’s a fairly experienced traveler, I never really considered it as an option for myself. But this trip wasn’t like other trips. The focus was entirely on us, on what would best serve our own self-growth and wellness, on what we *wanted* to do instead of following the set itinerary to the letter. Our days had structure, beginning with morning breath work, yoga and meditation, but when we as a group decided we’d love to visit Siena for an afternoon, that’s exactly what we ended up doing.

It was the perfect balance of health and indulgence, of caring for our bodies and our minds, of bonding with the others and enjoying time for ourselves. And it was, indeed, exactly what I needed at this point in my life.

One last blossom reel, as most of the petals have now fallen, and the year of waiting for them to reappear begins again 🌸

I think that makes us appreciate them more though, don’t you? If we had blossoms or summer or Christmas all year round, what would we have to look forward to? Their transience is what makes them so special, what pushes us to get out and appreciate them when they’re here. To quite literally get out and smell the flowers.

Sometimes, despite the best of intentions, life gets in the way and you aren’t able to give as much as you want to the things you enjoy. Time with friends, cooking favorite meals, even just sharing things on Instagram. I would have liked to have shown you all more about cherry blossom season, which is my favorite time of year, and gone to see more of them myself, but work and other plans got in the way. Isn’t that always how it happens? Time flies so quickly and suddenly all the petals have fallen and it’s nearly May and life truly seems to be flying by. So here are a few snaps from one of the only blossom spots I got to visit this year, in the hopes that next year, I’ll get better with the follow-through. 🌸
