One of the places I actually avoid in Paris is the area around the Eiffel Tower. Sure, it’s a cool landmark, and yes, it’s beautiful when it’s all lit up and sparkly for five minutes every hour on the hour. But it’s also a very touristy area, full of enough foreigners to make anyone who lives in the city (and I use that loosely as I have been a resident of Paris for barely a month) cringe and enough vendors harassing you to make you want to turn around and leave. However, that didn’t stop me and Deb from venturing over to relax on the Champ du Mars and walk up to Trocadero for an impromptu photo shoot. I guess from here the view isn’t too bad…
